This year we had 185 calls in which I was able to respond to 128 of them. It has been and continues to be my honor and a privilege to serve with my brothers and sisters. It is a great feeling to know you have two families, the one you have at home and the one you have at the station. It is a great feeling knowing that if you need a hand at the station or at home all you have to do is ask. We count on and rely on each other. It may not mean much to some but to me it is a big deal and an honor to make firefighter of the year for 2007.

My most memorable moment to date is when a trooper, a firefighter/EMT, and I responded to a call in which a 3 week old infant was unresponsive. We used our training, treated the infant and handed off care to the ambulance crew. It was a great feeling to see the infant responding..
